Field Note

AI Transparency

A field note on how this studio uses AI — and what stays human no matter what.

AI is a tool here. Not the artist, not the strategist, not the voice. It helps with speed and scope — first drafts, ideation, the scaffolding that gets an idea from nothing to something worth shaping. What it does not do is decide what your brand should say, how it should feel, or whether the work is actually right for you. That part has a name, and it's Liv.

Some of the early lifting — rough drafts, ideation, first-pass concepts, visual exploration — moves faster with AI in the room. Think of it as a sounding board: something to push against, not something to hand the work to. It clears space for the part of the process that actually requires a person — reading the room, knowing what a client means versus what they said, making the call that only comes from sitting with the work.

Behind the scenes, AI also helps run the studio itself: building systems, managing the operational weight that would otherwise eat into the hours meant for strategy and creation. That's less about your project directly and more about why this studio can stay small, stay thoughtful, and still move.

Some of the visual work you see in this studio — particularly art connected to The Motions™ — is currently AI-generated. That is worth saying plainly, because AI image generation causes real harm to real artists: work scraped without consent, compensation withheld, livelihoods eroded. Those artists disproportionately come from the same communities that show up here looking for support. I am not unaware of that tension.

Real art from real artists is actively being commissioned to replace what's currently placeholder. That work takes time and should. In the meantime, this acknowledgment is the least I can offer — and honest disclosure is how I intend to hold myself accountable to finishing what I started.

The read on what you actually need. The direction. The voice. The relationship. The final word on whether something is right — not just generated, not just plausible, but right for your brand, your moment, your people. That stays with Liv, every time, no exceptions.

If you'd rather your work not involve AI at any stage, tell us. That's not a special request or an inconvenience — it's a real option, built into how engagements are scoped from the start. Your comfort with these tools matters more than the convenience they offer us.

Because trust is built in the open, not assumed. You should never have to wonder what's behind the work you're paying for — so here it is, plainly. AI helps this studio move with more room to think. It does not get to think for it.
